Definition

Let $\mathcal{M}$ be a Topological Manifold. A chart for the manifold is a Homeomorphism $\phi :U\subset \mathcal{M}\to V\subset {\mathbb{R}}^n$, where $U$ is an open subset of the manifold, and $V$ is an open subset of the Euclidean Space. $(U,\phi )$
