The Determinant of the submatrix formed by deleting the $i$th row and $j$th column from the original matrix.

Examples

For a matrix $\mathbf{A}=\left[\begin{array}{ccc}a& b& c\\ d& e& f\\ g& h& i\end{array}\right]$, the minors $M_{1,1}=\text{det}(\left[\begin{array}{cc}e& f\\ h& i\end{array}\right]),M_{2,3}=\text{det}(\left[\begin{array}{cc}a& b\\ g& h\end{array}\right])$
